eing the Editor - and, more recently, also Publisher - of H&E, I have always believed that the magazine should offer more than just a good read. It should open doors, introduce new possibilities, inspire us to explore, and remind us that we are part of a community.
But it is important not to assume that we always know exactly what our readers want. That’s why we invited you to tell us. The responses to our 2026 survey have given us plenty to think about, a great deal to be encouraged by, and some constructive challenges that deserve our attention.
Above all, they reinforce a simple principle: H&E should be about what naturism can offer you, and how we can help you get more out of it.
Whether you have been a naturist for a long time, are just beginning to explore the lifestyle, enjoy the freedom of being clothes-free at home, or are looking for somewhere new to visit, we want H&E to be relevant to your life. And for businesses serving the naturist community, we want to be an effective way of reaching people who share an interest in what you offer.
This was a voluntary survey of H&E readers and social media followers worldwide, rather than a representative poll of every naturist, but it hopefully provides a valuable insight into the views and experiences of those who took part, and offers us some pointers for the future. So, what have we learned…?
